Graduate students registered and meeting enrolment requirements in the Fall or Winter Term are covered under the GSA supplementary health and dental plan. You will see the health plan cost assigned in your BEAR Tracks Account.
The plan this year is new, so all students must decide if you want to opt-out of the program if you have other coverage. We also must validate enrolment with the University which is completed at the conclusion of the opt-out period. During this change of coverage period any eligible expenses must be paid by you. Please retain your receipts so that you can submit claims once all enrolment has been validated. This process should be completed by October 15th and all GSA members will be notified by email when the plans go live.
If you enroll in the fall semester, your benefits coverage will start on September 1st and continue until August 31st. For the winter semester, the coverage begins on January 1st and continues until August 31st. You can find more information about the change of coverage period here.
